A person could say we live in an electrolytic universe.
Where does the electrical potential come from?
In an effort to keep things simple and basic;
i propose that the electric currents that manifest themselves in space in
various forms are a consequence of electrolytic interactions between
regions of space as well as local molecular characteristics.

Galvanic Corrosion is one manifestation of electrolysis, it occures when two
dissimilar materials are brought into contact via some medium such as
water, especially humid air (an electrolyte). Air is an insulator, the absence of air in the
low pressure environment of space may offer the ideal environment for the transfer of
charge. The dissimilar molecules are no longer separated by molecules of air, they would be in direct contact
with no insulating substance between them. Interaction would be a chain reaction.
Space is a plasma, the fourth state of matter.

When we look at the universe, we are attracted to the bright lights like moths and bugs at night, however there is so much vastness between those sources of light that we may be missing the actual regions of importance.
Think about the universe as a room full of bubbles, where the points of contact are points of interaction between the bubbles themselves. If we think about the interior of the bubbles as the vastness adjacent to galaxys the the points of contact are where galaxies occur and the driving mechanism of the galaxy becomes the interaction between the vastness on either side.
Consider the electrical properties of matter in all their dissimilarity and you might then imagine that there is a lot of sorting and interaction occurring. So does matter give rise to a potential difference between regions and hence an electrical imbalance that sets off discharges between regions which drain potential for region to region?
As describe in the Electric Universe perspective, the Sun is a region of focused electrical arc. We can imagine that matter is under great pressure at this location and that matter which escapes is immediately released from those confining pressures.. So, it would seem that it is then free to expand into available space and drive out, all that left before it, away from the center. There is an acceleration annomaly associated with the solar wind, being seen as faster speeds as it moves away from the source, rather than slowing down as it moves away -which is what would be expected it the source was only a thermal source. Charged particles must be considered along with the expansion of matter. Here is a question,,, How large will an atom become when it is not confined by surrounding forces?
When we speak of the thin air of our upper atmosphere we are speaking with refrence to 'our needs' and not seeing that the same atom at sea level is no longer confined by those pressures.. So it doesn't just pop like a bubble and disappear, it becomes larger than our measuing capabilities,, but it still retains its atomic structure, which then means that those electrons must travel a much further distances to complete their activity associated with their parent atom.. 'We' maybe can't make usage of the air but it is undoubtedly still an active component in our atmosphere just iat a different volume than what was seen below.. It may also be more electrically involved now that a larger area is exposed...
