Yes there is and this is no joking matter.
Lay on your back and place something under your neck to support it comfortably and so your throat and mouth are in closer alignment. To be more comfortable bend at your knees to ease the stress on your back, this is optional and varies with each body. If you cannot lay down flat there is another option. Lets say the closest is nearly flat such as if you are in a bed or reclineable chair. Take something that can be comfortably wrapped around the back of your neck and the ends held with a hand or two, now raise your neck and let your head relax backward. You might feel the opening of your airway and throat. When i was first faced with a no place to laydown scenario I was in an reclinable automotive seat with a neck pillow in a long mesh sleeve. I applied considerable force to lift my neck and relief came quickly. Now that you are in this position be real sensitive to how your throat is spasming, but try to relax and breath through your mouth. In a matter of minutes the spasms should cease. If not, you'll probably feel the need to swallow, do it properly by pressing your tongue against the roof of your mouth, not your teeth, and this may help clear the irratant. It will almost certainly clear the back of your sinuses. You are only moments away from relief so get some back time. |
We are wonderfully made and sometimes we need to get into the proper orientation to ensure that the wonder of this is experienced. |
